A Notch Above Photography Club
Minutes
August 9 2025

Prior to the normal 1:00 PM start time Bill had difficulty connecting to the large screen TV, similar to the problem we had in July.  Scott eventually kicked off the meeting at 1:25 with Lynn, Bill, Bob, Mary, and Clay on hand.  Bob will return to the library at some point to determine if the HDMI cable is faulty.

Each member then provided a project update, indicating if they would be ready to present their final results in September. 

Bob reported a treasury balance of $1009.97

Tim and Bill were co-winners of the Photo Contest with their images, ‘Embera Children’ and ‘Crawford Notch Tracks’. This month’s topic was ‘Dappled Light.’

Scott presented information concerning ‘Panning’ which will be the Photo Contest topic for September.

Lynn provided an excellent discussion of ‘Advanced Compositions’ from a book by William Palluth.   

Scott then used PowerPoint slides to discuss various elements of a ‘Raw Image Edit Workflow.’

Members agreed to have a picnic at the Wildwood Recreation Area during the week of September 8 – 12.  Scott will attempt to make a reservation.

Discussion of a field trip was tabled until the 9/13 meeting.
