November 11 2023
The November 11th meeting began at 1:00 with Mary Ellen, Lynn, Bill, Bob, Tim, Mary and Scott (Moderator) on hand. Since the library was closed for Veterans Day we did not have access to the remote control to operate the large screen TV. We overcame this problem by using our laptops instead. For the first 30 minutes members related any recent photo related activities and shared other news of interest to the group while enjoying light refreshments.
Bob reported a balance of $852.85 in our treasury.
Scott reported that he received and paid a statement from Bluehost for $132.87. This is for malware and virus protection and daily backups on the NAPC website.
Bill was the runaway winner of the monthly photo contest (topic: Four Seasons Group) showing colorful, skillfully edited views of his driveway during various seasons of the year.
Next was the photo editing segment in which members demonstrated their skill with post processing two challenging images.
Scott introduced the concept of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) utilizing PowerPoint slides with suggested camera settings, example images, and various tips.
The photo contest topic for December will be ICM.
Bill will be the moderator for our 12/9 meeting.
