March 14 2020

The meeting convened at 1:00 with the following members present:  Bill, Bob, Tim, Mary, Scott, Pam, and Joe.  We were happy to greet Danuta who was attending her first meeting.

While members provided a self introduction images for the current cycle photo contest were displayed on the large screen tv.  Members voted on photo contest entries and Bill H. was the runaway winner with his image “Wine, Cheese, Grapes.”

Bob provided the Treasurer’s Report which showed a balance of $345.43.  Members were reminded that annual dues of $35 are due at our April meeting

Bill gave a presentation concerning two very important skills for post processing, Masking and Selections. Bill’s presentation included Powerpoint slides and 3 short videos which were all well received.

Next, Tim spoke about Previsualization and Advanced Composition and cited the various elements of visual design.  Tim’s informative presentation included Powerpoint slides and a video which discussed various aspects of advanced composition.  Nice job, Tim!

As the NAPC organizer, Tim stated that Covid-19 could possibly impact future meetings and result in rescheduling our April and/or May get togethers. Tim will keep members informed as details evolve.  In the meantime we will plan future meetings as we routinely do and react to events accordingly.

It was decided that the Photo Contest topic for March – April will be “Something Mechanical.”
