A Notch Above Photography Club
Minutes
December 12, 2020

The meeting got underway at 1:10 with Tim, Mary, Bob, Bill, John, Mike and Scott in attendance.  The following is a recap of our Zoom meeting activities.

Members described any photography related endeavors since our last meeting in November.

Bob indicated a treasury balance of $325.54, however, Tim is owed $65.94 for Meetup and Scott is owed $23.98 for Zoom which results in an on-hand balance of approximately $236.  We are no longer utilizing Meetup.

Bill projected the monthly photo contest pics using Powerpoint with Bob’s image titled “Turkey Hunter” garnering top honors.  Each member who entered a pic then provided details about their photo.

Scott began a presentation titled “PhotoShop Blend Layers” utilizing Powerpoint with on the fly edits with Photoshop.  We soon realized there was a problem with the live use of Photoshop and the presentation was therefore aborted.  Since live streaming of webinars and other training often involves live demonstrations with Photoshop organizers are confident that we can resolve this problem before our December meeting.

Scott suggested potential photo contest topics, to include Printing and Cropping, Woodland Photography, and Focusing Technique.  Also mentioned was the suggestion to include Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and other camera settings when submitting a photo contest entry.

Tim presented a Powerpoint discussion of “What’s New in On1 Raw 2021.”  Accompanying this was a video by Matt K. which demonstrated new features while using the On1 interface.

The topic for the Dec – Jan photo contest will be “Snowy Landscapes.”

Future meeting presentations are as follows:

January:  Photographic Panoramas (Bob); What’s New in PS (Scott)

February:  Neutral Density Filters (Bill)

March:  Printing (Tim); Photo Critiquing Session (Scott)

The 12/12/20 meeting of Notch Above Photo Club was adjourned with thanks to all who were present.
