Tim began the meeting with Lynn, Mary Ellen, Bill, Bob, Tim, Mary, Clay, and Scott on hand.

Following our catch up session Bob reported a treasury balance of $978.30.  Bob suggested that we consider
making a donation to the library as an expression of our gratitude for allowing us to conduct our
meetings at no cost since our second meeting in April 2017.  Clay suggested a yearly donation of $100 which was agreed to by everyone.  Another suggestion is to donate books for the library’s yearly book sale.

Following the Image Edit Challenge , Bill easily won the Photo Contest, topic:  Depth of Field, with his image titled ‘Jordan Pond, Acadia National Park’.

Tim introduced a new potential agenda item, ‘Tech Support’ in which the moderator would address technical issues e.g. post-processing or camera technique.  Tim chose On1 Masking for Beginners and presented the following videos:
– The EASIEST Way to Mask Effects in ON1 Photo RAW
– 5-Minute Masking! The FASTEST Way to Edit in ON1 Photo Raw
– Simplify Your ON1 Masking – Stop Overcomplicating It!

Tim then asked for member reaction to Tech Support and Scott suggested that we consider more live editing in our various go-to image editing programs.

Tim then posed the question ‘What if There’s No Sense of Story’ in an image. and showed an excellent video titled ‘How to Make Videos That Make You Feel.’

The Photo Contest topic for July is ‘Photos That Make You Feel.’  Tim detailed this with PowerPoint slides.

A special thanks to Bob and Bill for troubleshooting the HDMI connection and restoring connectivity.

Bill will moderate our July meeting.
