February 14 2026
Tim opened the meeting at 1:00 with Lynn, Mary Ellen, Bill, Bob, Mary, Clay, and Scott on hand.
Members briefly updated their camera related activities and Bob indicated a Treasury balance of $658.30. As a reminder, dues may be paid at our March meeting.
Mary Ellen emerged as winner of our monthly photo contest (topic: Out of the Camera) with her image ‘Sunbeam.’
Next was the Editing Challenge with Bill, Tim, and Scott providing post processing results for 2 images that Tim provided.
Tim provided Powerpoint slides followed by a video concerning ‘Storytelling in Photography.’
Next was a thought providing discussion regarding how we edit and criticize Photo Contest and Editing Challenge images. Tim led this segment and suggested that it’s important to include storytelling with visual cues that trigger an emotional reaction. Our camera and post processing skills have progressed to the point that we can now dig deeper into our images to further enhance learning. The Photo Contest topic for March is to capture a new image or edit an older image which creates a story with emotional impact. Members are asked to explain their results in accordance with details contained in Storytelling Checklist.
Our next meeting is on March 14th with Bill as Moderator.
